For a permanent accomodation. When arrived in Rome, search for a room into the roman newspaper "Porta-Portese", you can buy every tuesday and friday (there is also an online version www.porta-portese.it, but it is updated only after 1.00pm). Starting your research since the early morning on tuesday and friday, you'll have more possibilities to find a good room with a good price, even in the same day of your research...

Prices. the price of a single room can reach almost 400euro/month in an area that is well connected with university and downtown. A bed in a twin room can cost 250-300 euro/month.
